Tank M2, also known as the M2 Light Tank, was an American light tank that was developed in the 1930s. It was initially intended for use as a reconnaissance vehicle and for infantry support. The tank was armed with a 37mm M5 gun and two 7.62mm M1919 Browning machine guns.

The tank had a crew of four, with a top speed of 64 km/h (40 mph) and a range of 240 km (150 miles). It had a 15mm armor thickness and weighed around 12 tons.

The tank was used widely by the United States during World War II, primarily in the Pacific theater. It also saw combat use by the British, who nicknamed it the "Stuart" after Confederate General J.E.B. Stuart.

Despite being considered outdated by the end of the war, the M2 remained in service in some countries well into the 1960s. It was eventually replaced by the M24 Chaffee and M41 Walker Bulldog in the postwar period.
